I have a Savage axis in 223, I bought in a black friday deal a couple of years ago for $250 with a $100 mail in rebate. using my handloads it is a 1moa rifle with a vortex viper 6-20x50 scope on it.
What is the twist rate? I noticed they had the Axis in 7mm Remington Magnum. That is a great cartridge but I have arthritis in both shoulders and the recoil is probably too much now.
