The Left is rooting for the virus against Trump.
Leftists have saddled Trump with COVID protocols and policies that are known failures. Most notable is the Fauci link. They are reasonably able to accuse Trump of failing in his COVID program because it is clear that his initial reaction was absolutely on target. They pushed him off his early program and into the long term campaign envisioned by Fauci.
The immunologists early funding of COVID research in China and the Chinese global expansion of the epidemic play nicely into Fauci’s interests in drug therapy that will reap trillions in profits.
I do not know if Trump can find his way back. He is battling many enemies on many sides.
