Areas of suburban Washington DC have public high schools populated by the demographic you describe. The parents play an extremely active role in the schools. They demand high standards and challenging course options. They reinforce and support school work at home.
They are some of the best schools in the world (public or private) IMO.
My son, Ace (a product of those schools) agrees.
