It was expected that several players from the Yankees and Nationals would take a knee during or prior to the national anthem on Opening Day. Though, it wasn’t widely expected that every player and coach from both teams would do it.
But, that’s exactly what happened.
The players knelt in protest in front of an empty stadium. MLB has closed their stadiums to fans during their abbreviated season due to the coronavirus.
After the death of George Floyd and the ensuing civil unrest that has swept through the country since late May, MLB has become more vocal on social justice issue. The league’s social media accounts have tweeted dozens of Black Lives Matter messages. In addition, MLB has stenciled Black Lives Matter on the pitchers mounds in all ballparks during their opening weekend.

I am a 4th generation (at least) St. Louis Cardinals’ fan and I plan on writing to their home office to tell them I’m done. They are supporting a Marxist organization that wants to destroy our country.
I also have a question for these morons. What does this accomplish? When does it stop? How do they know when they have reached whatever they claim is their goal? This is all such BS.

The owner of the Yankees, apparently a friend of President Trump has asked him to throw out the opening pitch at the Yankees home opener. President Trump agreed to do so.
Most likely unaware of this BS at the time or perhaps agreed to before this BS took place.
So, now the President has a dilemma. He has already told his friend he will throw out the opening pitch. But, the entire team kneeled and the mound has the Marxist BLM stenciled on it.

When they start back having a live audience, there may be some Booing heard in the stands during the Kneel Moment.
This compliance shouldn’t be too surprising when you think about it. These are athletes trained to act as a team.
Once the premise is accepted that kneeling is expected, there is a lot of peer pressure to go along with the rest of the group. Most times, pro athletes don’t think or act as individuals anyway. IOW; Monkey See, Monkey Do.
It seems many Americans are pretty stupid.
