Does anyone else visit the Yahoo homepage? They usually have a collection of top stories of the day, along with garbage and gossip, from a variety of sources, primarily liberal but with a few conservative sources thrown in. They've recently disabled the comments feature on all stories. They say it's because they're taking a survey to make the comments more user-friendly. I believe it's really because the comments are not trending the way they'd like, whether the story is from a liberal or conservative source. It's like they don't want people to know that everyone DOESN"T agree with 'protesters' or BLM, or AOC; and everyone DOESN'T hate the president and love Nancy Pelosi and Biden. Their homepage doesn't offer any Yahoo contact info that I've seen. It appears to be another way to silence voices and opinions the left doesn't want to hear.
I think the vast majority of comments were created by bots, and they are trying to figure out how to sort the humans from the machines and trolls
Yeah. Back in 1999.
Nope, not on purpose....not if I can help it.
A LOT of the stuff they post is Fake News.
Just for stocks
And my old ParrotsUp account is there
No. I do see questionable articles from that source.
And my search engine occasionally gets changed to Yahoo grrr.
A long time ago I commented on stories from yahoo but I quickly realized that they have left wing moderators that are completely absurd as to what they allow and dont allow.
Yahoo has been 99% Sponsored Content for at least the last 15 years.
Back in 2012 I was in Tokyo, working with a plant we were closing post Tsunami and all of the Engineers had Yahoo for their Home page.
I remember asking them if it was all sponsored content in Japan, too. “What’s sponsored content?” was their reply.

NO
This is a trend everywhere nonsjw opinions are shutdown claiming they’re trolls or bots. Its happening in the gaming and movie websites where reviews that don’t praise the latest LFKDLFJSDLF propaganda du jour is considered ‘reviewbombing’
When I would the comment section was the best...yahoo would try to spin a story and a lot of people would call them out.
Now I have an app for Newsbreak and the comments are priceless.
Personally I avoid Yahoo just like and for the same reasons I avoid google, twitter, facebook, instagram, etc.
Too much tracking. Too much intrusion into your life.
They are all bad news and I stay away.
The comments on their liberal coverage and stories has been overwhelmingly against the riots, NFL kneelers, BLM and the like. People are fed up with it all and therefore are now being silenced.
Prior to the 2016 election there was good commentary section content. My old ATT email links through that website too.
It’s about time they shut down those comments. What a vile community it is over there. Worse than Facebook. Every single article becomes an argument over politics or race in the comments section.
Out of habit, I still use Yahoo finance to check stock prices. Of course, I may click on the occasional main-page article.
I keep going back because at propogandistic and leftist as the articles are, the comments section is increasingly conservative and critical - often criticizing Yahoo itself. Its good to see!
Yep, I still have a yahoo mail account for a few special things I don’t want cluttering up my email, like kookie prophesy guy. Gotta clean it out now and then. Easy to do as they have “select all” and “delete all,” which google does not have.
AND they have a golf board where you can post comments as the game progresses, which can be fun for a “Certified Golf Fan” like me.
