This three Gorges Dam reminds me of Forve 10 From Navarone I believe it was ... the special forces ops lose their supplies and are directed to instead take a small set of charges deep down into the inside of the dam. They set the clock and run back up expecting it to be a suicide mission. Boom! Nothing ... they go back across the river and tell the demolitions expert he failed ... no he didn’t ... give mother nature time, the force of water like that is tremendous... it’s hard to tell exactly what’s going on there but that’s what it reminds me of and the video links posted above about the inherent corruption building it ...
