It's an announcement from the DOJ, not an article. It would be inappropriate for the DOJ to discuss his political affiliation. Best practice is to avoid any possible appearance of political motivation on the part of the prosecutor.

Great observation: The absents/omission of the word "Republican" confirms the simple fact it was a Rat.

Assume for a minute it was in fact a "Republican."

The article would have started something similar to as follows: Republican. Joey Bag of Donuts, was caught stuffing ballot boxes in his Republican. district. The Republican. has decided to plea guilty to being a living & breathing Republican, thus endangering member's of the RAT party.

Remember boy's & girl's & Ladies & Gentlemen, you can't spell the word DemocRAT with out the word RAT.
