They used similiar tactics in Chicago. They are definitely showing more organization these days.
They almost never push out individually and expose themselves, and when they do, they usually retreat right back into their crowd. They do a lot of pushing and probing, but they stick together.
Also, when one of them is taken, or downed, they push out to try to cover them and recover them. If they can’t and they get resistance, they wait and then harass the lines of the resistance looking for weak spots or people with their back turned or distracted to get their adversaries to push back and give up their comrade.
Also, they try to troll and taunt people to coming out of their own groups, and if they get exposed in the open as an individual, close in on them hard, and that’s when the blood spills
This is why majors in some cities are really mad about government law enforcement and agents using genuine strategy to detain these people. These mayors know full well what kind of tactics and strategy are being used on the ground in their cities against innocent citizens and officers alike, and they want it to continue! The last thing they want is for ‘the other side’ to employ tactics and strategy. There is NOTHING PEACEFUL about any of this

This is their plan/ methods to defunding the police. It’s abolishing the police via revolution and reinstating capitalism with socialism /communism.
Station snipers, ID the leaders and pick them off. The rest will flee.
They must do a lot of organizing and training. In another era, the FBI would have infiltrated them. Now, I would not be surprised to learn that they are conducting the training.
Perhaps more like a legion of drunken Romans rioting in Rome.
When the real legion shows up to restore order their lines will fold and they will come to know why they fear the night.

Of course those tactics only work in melee combat. Once the other side brings firearms into the equation they are a death trap.
