POLK COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) – Authorities in Polk County continue to probe the grisly killings of three men who were found beaten and shot to death in Frostproof over the weekend.
The victims, Brandon Rollins, 27, Keven Springfield, 30, and Damion Tillman, 23, were “massacred” near Lake Streety during a nighttime catfishing trip, Sheriff Grady Judd said at a news conference Saturday.

There's been rumor-level info floating around that the oldest of the three (Kevin Springfield) was having an affair with a woman; her husband had a "full-out brawl" with Springfield the morning of the day the murders occurred.
Supposedly, the angry husband — or one of his associates — was at the Lake Streety location when Springfield showed up first, after dark Friday night. The first murder took place almost immediately.
The younger two showed up soon after, as per a prearranged plan. They were murdered so they couldn't be witnesses.

Yes indeed, no argument there.
There was a comment at the location at which I was reading about this, to the effect of "what kind of person would commit three murders over something like this?"
The answer given was "hey, it's Polk County." I'd like to know more about that. Of course there's no where to Google about such things.

Well, sounds like it was over a truck? One of the locals pictured was wearing a shirt that said something like "I'll trade my wife for a tractor." He appeared to be standing next to his wife.
