the paddlefish live in the U.S. and the sturgeon live in Russia.

And then they started colluding.

I don’t know what to name it, but I’ll bet ‘The Flintstones’ had one back in the day! ;)

Breed? How is that possible? I thought sex was an artificial social construct.

No thanks...can’t stand the smell of fish or seafood. Makes me gag. Tried shrimp once, and threw it up. I have to buy the prime filet tuna fish in water, then rinse it thoroughly with water from the tap before I can make tuna salad out of it. I add onion, celery, dill relish, spices, and mayo to make it tolerable for a tuna melt.

“accidentally breed?”

Sounds like an end to wild office parties in the lab.

HUSBAND: "Honey, I'm going fishing."

WIFE: "Take the canoe this time, will you?. Last time, you took the pontoon boat and you caught 175 of those suckers. I can't clean that many."

HUSBAND: "OK honey. The canoe it is."

There are American lake sturgeon in something like 20 states and the Mississippi River.

Same way with me for pork, never touch it. That’s fine.

I did see a guy in a canoe without a paddle, use a shovel. It’s a long story.

There are sturgeon here on the Klamath river. It’s been years since I’ve had it but they are really good eating.

>>>They look like Sturgeon. The only fish I eat is tuna fish in tuna melts. I don’t eat seafood at all<<<

I thought I was the only one who did that. Has to be good old regular Tuna Fish, not the expensive White Albacore Tuna (blech). It also to have plenty of Mayo, it just has to...

I blame my Mother. Being a good Catholic she always served Fish Filet for dinner on Friday. I hated the taste and it always had small Bones in it. Hated it with a passion.

Come to think of it, Thursday was Beef Liver night. I hated it but my Dog loved it...

Well, I must admit I do occasionally have Fish and Chips as long as it doesn’t taste Fishy and an occasional Bowl of New England Clam Chowder, so I may be a little more tolerant than you are. LOL

I’m okay with pork. Ham, bacon, pork sausage, pulled pork BBQ. I don’t cook pork chops for myself, but I love the rest.

Those sturgeon on the Klamath get huge!

I remember a video of a guy in an inner tube hooking into one at least six feet long.

LOL!! Your house sounds like mine. My mother used to make Tuna Casserole every Friday night. I wouldn’t eat it, or she’d make fried salmon patties. Yuck! The last two cats I had wouldn’t touch salmon. The old man who used to live across the street from us would go fishing, and bring my father perch, sunfish or bullheads. My Dad would clean them, and fry them up, then I’d sit there and watch him and the rest of the family pick the bones out of their mouths. Yuck! My mother wasn’t the greatest cook. We actually preferred my father’s cooking, which he did every weekend. Big dinner on Sunday, either ham, chicken, pot roast, etc. We never had seafood on our table. Couldn’t afford it I guess. Not that I’d have eaten it anyway. My mother loved oysters. Every so often, she splurge and get herself a container of shucked oysters. I don’t know how people can swallow those things. Yuck!
