I used one of their 10mm crowfoot on a balky stud. It stripped right out. I had an old Craftsman of the same size - didn’t bite the stud as well (only on 2 sides), but it was high-quality steel (the Craftsman) on high-quality steel (a non-UAW car). I thought something would give, but it broke loose. That was it for their tools, at least as far as I’m concerned. Now I look for stuff with 4.5 stars and 500+ reviews on Amazon...so far, so good.

As far as jack stands go, I try to not go under vehicles unless they have the tires on, and being in Texas, you can fit under any car with its tires on (as it’s not legal to drive anything lower). If I do go under with one or more tires off, then, jack stand or not, I slip one of those tires under the car, in case it somehow comes loose. Better than nothing.

I do that with the wheels also. A safety backup.
