Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban declared that the "National Anthem Police in this country are out of control," leading to a tense exchange on Twitter with Senator Ted Cruz, a Republican who represents Texas.
Cuban initially tweeted "Bye" on Sunday evening in response to a tweet from Mark Davis in which the Dallas-based conservative talk show host expressed enthusiasm about the Mavs but added he would no longer be a fan "the minute one player kneels for the anthem," suggesting Cuban could help guide the Mavs and NBA "to do whatever gesture they wish without insulting the nation."

The point here isn't semantics.
My point is about an arrogant multi-millionaire implying that lesser beings in flyover country are making up rules. Rules that, in fact, are codified into expected standards of behavior when it comes to respect for the flag.
I believe them to be much less correct than they think they are. People have gotten used to living without sports. They have alienated some portion of the fan base (A large one? Who knows?) They are banking on a suppressed demand they have no evidence exists.

Oh yeah, that’s a great idea. Capitulate. That’s exactly what they want. Tearing down yet another patriotic tradition in this Country. Geez, wise up.
Is he Stupid?? These are His People, His Fan Base, they reflect what He Believes.
Don’t bring the teams out for the anthem. I know a college coach that prefers this so his players don’t make the team look idiotic.
