I did subcontracting on government construction projects for years. I was always at a disadvantage because I am white.
Due to the minority contract requirements on many jobs I didn’t even bother to bid many times.
On the new Vikings stadium I believe the required minority contractor requirement was something like 20%. If you were black and had a business you were golden.
There are a lot of government projects that aren’t worth the paperwork for Whites because being White puts them at the back of the line.
