I’m struck by the similarity to the smoke seen rising from the garden of the Japanese Embassy in DC on the morning of December 7, 1941 as diplomats burned box after box of secret documents.

I think this may be being over dramatized a bit. i think any consulate that was told it had to amscray in 72 hours would be running around like a Chinese Fire Drill getting rid of confidential material.
