Seems certain that the Chinese were running fairly heavy espionage out of this consulate: NASA, military-related, etc.
China will retaliate - normal; but why didn't we retaliate when HRC's open email server led to all of our U.S. assets in China being executed?

NASA/Military but especially biological as Texas Medical Center is enormous research campus with many many institutions doing cutting edge research. And thousands upon thousands of Chinese (slave) graduate students who work long long hours and share tiny tiny rooms. They never talk to the “occidentals” in their labs, never assimilate like other Asian country people do. They stick together and work AGAINST their lab mates. Chinese in research have been a problem for a long long time.
