I just read in The NY Daily News that the police commissioner Shea, at a meeting with “police department brass” blasted City Hall leadership. Called them “cowards who won’t do what’s right” and “there’s a complete absence of leadership.”
That’s pretty unusual for a sitting police commissioner, a political animal, to talk about his boss, the Mayor, like that, in a meeting that is openly reported in the Press.
I can’t imagine Commissioner Kelly openly criticizing Bloomberg, or Commissioner Bratton or Kerik openly criticizing Giuliani.
And then, former NY Governor Pataki (who hates Trump like poison and keeps out of the political scene) blasted NYC leadership, as did former Commissioners Kerik and Bratton.
