The Texas-based group, the Thin Blue Line Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club, was out for an afternoon ride on Highway 16 to celebrate the club’s anniversary when an intoxicated driver crossed over the center stripe and struck the group, according to the Kerr County Sheriff’s Office.
Members Joseph Paglia, a retired police officer; Jerry Wayne Harbour, a US Army veteran; and Michael White, also an Army veteran, died in the crash, an NBC affiliate reported.
Nine other bikers were injured.
The driver in the crash has been taken into custody for multiple counts of intoxicated manslaughter and intoxication assault, the sheriff’s office said.

This happened in Texas. Something exactly like this happened in New Hampshire, last year. A driver with a suspended license and a drug history had a pickup pulling a trailer slew across the road and take out part of a motorcycle group traveling in the opposite direction.
