I have seen ledes about missing Native Alaskans and American Indians lately indicating the issue is being surfaced in the public. I gotta hope that they are not being preyed upon by traffickers or cartels too.

Lots of missing native American women reported missing over the years, on Highway 16 in British Columbia, “Highway of Tears” (450 mi) corridor of the highway in Canada.

Cultural and physical isolation make for vulnerable people. In addition, for American Indians, the high levels of alcoholism and domestic abuse offer a good reason why someone might want to leave family and make a new life elsewhere.
