I don’t want to fish for followers either. I haven’t done original posts but when I’ve got muh thinkin’ cap on I like to add a followup to retweets. Either more related info or snark. It surprises me what catches the attention of strangers. I think I’ve snared the most followers by #NoMaskMandate comments. But I’ve also got the most hate from that. I have to stop and remember I’m ‘posed to be informing, not stompin’ people.

Couple of things on twitter. I've been there ten years and have been shadowbanned, but never put in time out.

I don't like twitter, only there to #MAGA.

There are some accounts that have 20,000 tweets and 10 followers. If they post something snarky to you, just block them. They're just on twitter to argue. They're the ones that make complaints and get accounts suspended. Don't waste your time arguing with someone with less than 100 followers.

NEVER threaten or dox anyone.

You can follow as many as you want until you hit 5,000. After that, you have to ratio, something like no more than 500 more following than followers.

Twitter is vindictive. They bleed about four followers a day from my account. I added twelve followers today, and am up seven.

For followers, I look for people that have a balanced ratio. Always follow back, unless they're an obvious spam account. If they start direct messaging you, just block them. They're phishing for something.

I find I get a lot of engagement on replies to posts, practically nothing on original posts.
