Why? Because we constantly talk about it like it is something that is part of our day like eating cereal for breakfast or watching TV in the evenings.
No doubt there are racist individuals in our country but the vast majority of people and the country as a whole are not racist.
The same applies to the police. You'll find more racists in the universities nowadays than you will in police forces.
If you view everything in your world everyday when you wake up through the lens of racism, then you will no doubt find it everywhere you look. Your preconceived notions of racism is going to predispose you to see racist incidents everywhere.
Just because I'm hispanic doesn't mean I am a racist. Just because I'm white doesn't mean I am a racist. Just because I'm black doesn't mean I am racist. Just because I'm a policeman doesn't mean I am a racist. And don't tell me racism is "systemic" in this society. It is only systemic in the race hustlers, race baiters, liberal politicians, progressives and commies.
Time to stop talking about it all of the time and get on with being Americans and dealing with issues of much greater impact on our lives, like the economy, than dwelling in the gutter of hate all of the time.
