St. Louis, MO has been the scene of violent protests over the past few weeks. In the most notorious case of violence related to the unrest, rioters murdered retired police captain David Dorn and ransacked his pawnshop. Dorn was black. His killers shot him multiple times.
As defund the police gained traction in St. Louis and other cities, and cities all over the country lost hard-won ground to violent crime, Americans purchased firearms in record numbers. They are preparing to have to defend themselves.
It was in this context, and the rising violence and abdication of public safety in St. Louis and many other cities around the country, that a St. Louis couple, Mike and Patricia McCloskey, suddenly found themselves facing a large number of protesters on their property last month. The moment was captured on video that went viral.
The McCloskeys were having dinner when the protesters showed up. The McCloskeys were not the protesters target the citys mayor was but the protesters were on private property and had damaged a gate on their way in.

Truly leading from behind.
They were on their own property and were being threatened by a Missouri State Rep that was in with the group of perps IF I remember correctly.
The Governor has a voice? I’m shocked! He has been silent as a stone until now, I guess people in Missouri began asking why he would not come to their defense?
THAT should put an end to it.
Now give em back the firearm and write the a HUGE letter of apology on behalf of all the idjitts in the county
It’s a sad state of affairs we’re in when this constitutes news.
Well it’s about damn time.
To NEW GUN OWNERS: While your buying your pistol and a box of suitable ammunition, remember to vote RED in November, it is just as effective as buying a firearm.
President Trump gave him a spine.
In light of the St Louis prosecutor being allowed to smell up the place like a meth addict in a Body & Bath store, I figured the MO governor and AG were hiding in a backyard shed with Jeff Sessions.
A real profile in courage there Guv-NOT. Gutless, feckless and hiding in the weeds until it is safe to comment is piss-poor “leadership”. Missourians should be embarrassed that this weasel is their governor.
