Trump response yesterday was “Tony is doing a good job.”
If it were up to me, “Tony” and Soros should disappear.
They just point to something that was less than optimal - the early shortage of tests is frequently cited - and say it’s his fault, as though he was directly responsible for the supply of test kits, which is ridiculous. The key is, they NEVER cite anything that someone was advising him to do that he didn’t do.
He got personally involved in getting the ventilator shortage fixed and eliminating the CDC red tape that was preventing usage of “unapproved” COVID tests, even though neither of those really falls under his direct responsibility.
He shut off travel from China very early, one of the few things in this situation that actually is under his direct responsibility, and without waiting for someone to advise him to do it. He very quickly set up the COVID task force headed by Pence. He reacted quickly and decisively.
Folks need to look in the mirror before blaming government. Spike after Memorial Day weekend. Spike after July 4th weekend. Can’t blame that on Trump.
