From "Gins is Sin" to a Royal branded gin. You have come a long way gin. My favorite gin is Bombay Sapphire with the Queen's great-great-grandmother (?) on the bottle.

Why do I think the profits won’t be going where the article says they’ll be going...

“...created the premium small-batch London dry gin from natural ingredients sourced in the grounds of the royal residence.”

As a side note, Queen Elizabeth II and her mother's (Queen Elizabeth) favorite drink is the Gin and Dubonnet Cocktail:

2 parts Dubonnet
1 part dry Gordon's Gin
1 slice of lemon

Place Dubonnet, Gin, and lemon slice in a cocktail shaker with ice. Give it a good shake, strain into a cocktail glass, add a few more ice cubes and garnish with a lemon wedge.

The queen's mother (Queen Elizabeth) drank the same recipe but with equal parts Gin and Dubonnet, four of them a day by most accounts (and was rarely completely sober as a result). Though it apparently didn't do her any harm as she lived to 101. Queen Elizabeth II takes it a little easier, having one a day at lunch and going 2 parts Dubonnet to 1 part gin to reduce the alcohol content further.

“My favorite gin is Bombay Sapphire.”

Yes, I like that, as well. I also like Boodles.
