Gosh, it’s only July.
I would like to see the Rose Parade in person someday.

I went to two while I was in college. To get a good seat, you pretty much have to camp out the night before. A lot of fun at the time, but now, I’d have to take a pass. On a bright sunny day, the heat makes you forget the chill of the night before, until you find yourself thinking about how hot it is. If it’s a cool, cloudy day, not much fun at all.

“I would like to see the Rose Parade in person someday.”

The last one I saw in person was over 50 years ago.

You should. The floats are so amazing with the flowers that even the best TVs today can’t match it. The only reason I don’t go (besides covid freaking everyone out) is because you have to go to bed early on NYE and wake up at 4 am.

No need to sit on the street to camp out. You can purchase a seat and have an assigned area for parking. It is so well executed. It is a wonderful experience, Pasadena is a fabulous small town. Lots of other things to do. The original Trader Joe’s is there. Several top notch museums. The best part is being able to view the floats up close and personal the day following the parade in a park close by. It is an experience not to miss. It is too bad that is in California.
