Cuomo Cuts Funding for Addiction Treatment

The Cuomo administration quietly last week told municipalities it’s cutting payments for drug and alcohol recovery programs by nearly a third.
Multiple reports say treatment providers were given no notice or explanation for the timing of the 31% cut in payments made on Thursday and Friday.
As the state’s economy tanked due to the Cuomo mandated shutdown, the Governor warned in April he would cut more than $8 Billion in state aid for health and mental health services and education.
