Think about it.
Trust Sessions has been a mantra of sorts.
It was drilled into us for a long time.
And now, with the flip of a switch we dont trust him?
The Art of War. We should learn it
Trust Trump.
KC, your line of thought on Sessions parallels mine. I didn’t keep track of many state politicians before retitement but I knew Sessions was great. He probably caught my attention simply because my oldest kid and her family settled in AL. But I admired him even at Alabama state level.
The fact that Jeff Sessions backed Donald Trump was my first clue that President Trump deserved consideration. I am not as knowledgeable as most here about unravelling the puzzles but my gut was telling me that the Alabama senate election was a test of how well the digital army has learned to dig.
Well, I knew Sessions’ background so I read up on T’ville. There is too much readily accessible dirt on him. I shared these things with daughter, son-in-law and the 2 voting age grandkids. Even tho my kids are conservative they haven’t always chosen the candidate I would. After looking at the evidence, all 4 chose Sessions.
I don’t typically get into the +/- Sessions discussions because I think it’s all going to come out right by the end of the movie. But, I do agree with the idea I think you put forth about that election having importance as a gauge of people thinking for themselves.
There are many layers to that too. I understand the anger of those who feel Sessions wimped out. I don’t share that view but I’m not holding it against anyone. Jeff Sessions isn’t showing anger toward those who think he’s wrong so I feel like I should follow his example.
