This must greatly disappoint the commies at CNBC.
Hong kong has consequences.
Excellent!
"...that could significantly dent relations with China while appeasing the U.S...">/i>
If you have an acquaintance who is telling you that someone is trying to harm you, and they have good proof that someone is really trying to harm you, it isn't bloody "appeasement" to listen to their warnings and take appropriate protective action.
It isn't appeasement. It is being smart.
Just ordered a bunch of 32bit ARM processor boards from Hong Kong.
Simple CortexM3 processors with an 8mhz crystal and a 32khz timer crystal on a breadboard-mountable board for US 2 dollars each and free shipping. (LQFP-48 78Mhz max)
This is half the cost of the processor alone if bought from a US supplier...it’s actually cheaper to buy the board and use a hot-air station to pull off the processor than to buy the chip here...plus you get the two xtals as a bonus. (These are the simple “Blue-Pill boards for those in the know”) I use them for simple projects.
You can get multi-core 64bit ARM boards at a real bargain also, for more power-hungry tasks..but I sure hate working with BGA chips :-/
Somehow I think my bargain days from Hong Kong will soon end, one way or the other.
Another win for the Trump administration.
