I have to laugh, because several years ago there was that song “Pumped Up Kicks”. My wife thought it was such an upbeat song, then I told her to actually listen to the lyrics.

Oh, boy. Now I gotta listen to it. I have a funny feeling I won't be adding it. But you never know.

I remember liking a song called Wild Wild West back in the late 80s I think until one day I actually listened to the lyrics. That ruined the song for me.
