Im really wish trump would put it back in the pants about sessions. sessions was a dependable conservative vote in the senate for 20 years, and was DJTs first mainstream supporter when he was running for president.
backing an unknown because you have a grudge about the other guy is just a risky play.
I really liked Sessions prior to his nomination as AG. He was what you said - a reliable conservative.
However, he put a knife in the back of Trump that is still hurting him (and us) today. I think he lied to the President by not telling him he would recuse himself and were it not for him the special counsel would never have been appointed. Somebody would have told FBI to put up or shut up on their evidence.
Sessions failed bigly when it counted.
Jeff Sessions is a traitor.
Do you care what Benedict Arnold did for America before he turned traitor?
Yeah, no one does.
Geeze. .. Do you really believe that BS you wrote?
“Im really wish trump would put it back in the pants about sessions”
Why? After Sessions basically screwed Trump’s first two years and left him out to dry. Then appointed Utah Huber who after two years admitted he investigated nothing. Sessions knew Huber was a deep state plant to buy time.
Sessions was compromised as soon as he became AG by the deep state and folded like a baby. Trump called him out on it and Sessions wants remain a thorn in his side.
Talk about a risky play. Putting Sessions back in the Senate to play McCain/Romney role is worse. We already know Sessions is a backstabber.
“...backing an unknown because you have a grudge about the other guy is just a risky play.”
Where is the risk? We already know what Sessions is capable of.
+ 1000 up vote

Voting for Session would be voting for an unknown.
Since we no longer know where Session stands, that’s the risky play.
For once, I agree with you.
You have really taken it on the chin here. But I agree the President makes himself seem petty and vindictive on this matter.
Tweeting this at this point has no upside. It just strokes his ego. Don’t get me wrong I will vote for him again and have probably donated more money to his efforts than any other President or candidate. And I am in my 70’s so that includes plenty of candidates.
However, so many of his “tweets” are, in my humble opinion, more harmful than helpful.
Thanks for speaking you truth on a subject you knew would bring down the ire of the group think that permeates FR these days.
Sessions weakness and betrayal basically destroyed the first three years of his presidency. Sessions did incalculable damage. Without sessions, Mueller doesnt happen
