Trump has every right to be enraged that four years after Barack Obama’s top henchmen concocted and executed the biggest political scandal of all time, not one person has been held criminally responsible while trials against his associates drag on.
In May 2019, Attorney General William Barr made an announcement millions of Americans had been waiting for: A U.S. attorney outside the Beltway would investigate the corrupt origins of the FBI’s probe into Donald Trump’s presidential campaign and government efforts to sabotage the incoming president after he was elected.
For the past 14 months, we have been waiting (impatiently, I confess) for news from John Durham, the Connecticut prosecutor Barr tapped to lead the long-delayed inquiry. After all, by the time the attorney general initiated the targeted probe, there was plenty of evidence of wrongdoing by top officials in the Obama Administration, including James Comey, John Brennan, and Andrew McCabe among others. Special Counsel Robert Mueller had wrapped up his two-year partisan witch hunt and despite unlimited resources—along with the unflinching support of Republicans on Capitol Hill—Barack Obama’s former FBI director could find no evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and the Kremlin.

As someone who has been a STAUNCH supporter of the Durham investigation, and a voice for patience and persistence, I am deeply disturbed by the things I heard yesterday.
Deeply disturbed.
Either a conclusion is coming in an “October surprise” way, or this whole thing is Bullchit.
I’m hoping for the former, but past results point to the latter.
This is still a ‘deep state’ coverup...

Trump’s tears are lost on me here. He could have thrown a dart at the phone book and got an attorney general as effective as Barr or Sessions.

Durham is probably having coffee and comparing notes with John Huber.
The changes are pretty good he's not where you want him to be. Chances are even greater that he's going to go whatever way the bureaucracy wind blows, which will be apparent after the election.
It’s all a stall tactic. I have lost all faith in anyone being prosecuted and getting a jail sentence. People in our party like Graham, Grassley just talk and go through the motions with no results.
If Dems win election for President and take the Senate, it all will be dead in the water as they will remove Barr et all and stop dead cold all investigations.
He should have cleaned house from the outset. I can somewhat understand why an outsider would look to GOP insiders for advice but his trust/reliance on them was a mistake of historic proportions that had huge implications. And still does to this day.
