Red state conservatives are panicking now that cases are going up in Texas and other southern states.
Texas is one of their pet "spike" states. Here are the significant numbers.
Two months ago Texas had tested almost 2% of its population. This resulted in 8 out of every 100 tests returning positive. As of 7/7 they have tested 9.5% of the population resulting in 10 positives for every 100.
An increase of 2% in positives of the totals tested, not very significant. (2% in 2 months)
Nationally we went from 15 in 100 to 8 in 100 during the same time frame. A decline of 7%. More significant.
