Ships can be dangerous enough at the best of times.

My worst injury in the Navy involved getting my left forearm caught in the knife edge of a scuttle into Engineering Main Control while tied up in port. I messed up the muscles bad. We had just gone through a hurricane at sea with no significant injuries. It took me 3 months to get full use of my left hand back.

I am wondering if the hanger deck fire fighting system was OOC (out of commission) due to the maintenance availability. The good thing is that any air assets were likely off the ship.

Most injuries were smoke inhalation. Started in V Deck. Thank you for your previous thoughts on this.
