You're a better parent than I.
As the father of two boys and two girls, none of whom have reached their teens yet, I can't imagine disowning any of my children for the stupid and embarrasing (but hopefully harmless) mistakes they'll make in their teen years. And, yes, when I was seventeen, I was doing the same thing these kids were doing. Only difference is cameras weren't around. But if they were, I'm sure we'd have taken pics.
Dont take for granted that the mistakes that theyll make will be harmless. The consequences can last the rest of their lives (and yours).
Teach them that there are consequences. Make sure that there are certain punishments for things they do wrong. When you warn them that they will receive punishment for something, you must always follow through with your threat. Consistency is your friend. The more certain you are with your punishments the less you should have to do it.
Make sure that they know that sex is for marriage and not before. Dont let them watch movies that show sex as recreational. Dont let them watch movies or tv shows that display parents as fools.
You may see these shows as harmless entertainment, but you children are influenced by them.
Raising good kids is really difficult today with popular media attacking parental authority on every front on every day. Even Disney is not to be trust anymore.
I bless you and your children but I wish you luck trying to raise them these days.
