Do you guys think you are the first. 1987, I witnessed people buy land in the high desert, building shelters and burying guns because we were headed for a civil war and an end to our infrastructure. Still, wonder after 30+ years how many guns are still buried outside of Reno in the High desert. They were like you the possessors of special knowledge people like me just did not understand.

I understand more then you because I understand how resilient this country is. In the 50s and 60s people knew what you know so they built and stockpiled bomb shelters. In the 70’s when domestic terrorism was at its height and the Cold War still hot people just knew we were headed for a disaster. Damn hippies were going kill us all with LSD in the water supply..

Some of us have to be prepared because we live at the whims of Mother Nature. We have to keep adequate food supplies and medications. Bug out kits at the ready if need be. Guns and ammo in case of looters. Rendezvous points, shelters and sufficient gas for evacuation. That’s every hurricane season for us.

The preppier song has not changed in 30 years, hell The song has remained the same for the last fifty years. One day 50 years maybe a 100, you guys may get it right. But I love this country so I hope not.
