If the family of the child were to take up the cause or advocate for it to be taken up, that would be fine but to invoke that childs death without their approval would make us no better than those we oppose.

I respectfully disagree. It is never wrong to take a senseless death and champion for justice. The difference between “us and them” - we support the lives of the innocents and they support the lives of, shall we say, less than innocents.
