" Today, I affirm that original oath by
swearing the current one -- and including

"Where We Go One We Go All!"

(One Salutes Officers.)

Promises made. Promises kept.

In 1960, I was just getting good on my bicycle. ;-)

My Oath, along with that of many other Airmen at the time,
was delayed by 6 months because the powers that be had just
agreed upon a cut off date for "Vietnam Era Service".

My enlistment was moved to the day after.

As Bugle Sgt during my Ground Radio Maintenance Tech School
training, I did play Taps for the Last Vet to be brought
back from Vietnam at the time.

There's TV footage of me out there someplace, half hidden
in the bushes in the distance.

My marksmanship and Acing tech school got me offered
Combat Control, but I confess, I was not interested in
looking for that kind of trouble back then.

Instead, I spent the next 5 years after the year long
tech school mostly fixing anything and everything
electronic, when I wasn't running around Spain tracking
down Radio Frequency interference.

Mine was the Oath of a volunteer Enlisted Airman,
but not this Officer's Oath that carries the additional
responsibilities and penalties born by Officers.

I confess to a bit of envy, as the difference was
pointed out to us at the time.

It's no different now.

An "Officer" in this information war, can be held
responsible as an Enemy Meme-Unition, Propaganda, and
Information Warfare Combatant, Without Excuse,
if we all fail.

Like a spy.

General Flynn and his family know this.

I didn't get to take an Officer's Oath back then.

I am humbled and honored to take this one
with my fellow Patriots now.

Where We Go One, We Go All.

Mission Forward.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Out of personal respect, salute returned...
But -- mine, too was the enlisted oath -- just in a little-known MOS...
Ever hear of an AFSC that started with 99?
Simply put, my wife of 59 years still only knows a cover story -- instead of my unit's actual mission...
("...I can neither confirm nor deny...") <grin>
BTW, Congrats on a thoughtful FRProfle page!
Great video! O-7 Flynn & O-8 Brown agree, no doubt, on many points...
FRegards,
