I knew Neil Golightly a while ago. As it turns out, he is very American: he was a Naval aviator flying F-14s in the Mediterranean when Libya was bombing discos and commercial aircraft in the 80s. He appeared to be a straight shooter; I’m sad that he was compelled to apologize and resign for this.
The Boeing board is a serious bunch of goofs. They are quick for social justice but extremely light on accountability for actions that hurt the company.
