White people, here’s your racial re-education reading list

I was intrigued by your article but want more information. There is a lot of false info out there about fighting racism and I would welcome some suggestions on things to read. I am a 54-year-old white woman, raised in the lower class in an all-white area. I detest the fact that people are treated differently because of their skin color or ethnic background. I have argued the stupidity of it until I am blue in the face. My problem is that because I grew up in an insular area, I am hesitant to do more simply because I don't know enough. I want to know more. I want to be part of the solution.
Thank you

This is heartening—and it’s just one among a plethora of similar emails I’ve received from whites looking to know more, to do more, to participate in new dialogues and conversations inspired by this national awakening on racial inequities and injustices.

Call it the racial re-education of white folks.

Many asked how to best engage with that Black co-worker or neighbor they know little about, what social justice organizations they might support with their time and money, how they should talk with their children about race, about George Floyd, police brutality, and reform.

As an alternative, I would recommend Color, Communism and Common Sense by Manning Johnson (New York: Alliance, 1958)--available for free online at the link.

Funny how “Up From Slavery” is never on those lists.

I recently read an article on the ten most affluent black communities in America. How did people get there? They got educations and useful occupations and got married and created stable families.

But according to Joe Biden, they aren't really black.

Sure, I’ll get to that list! Just as soon as I finish reading “The Bell Curve”, for the umpteenth time.

".... because the issue really isn’t about race...."

Bingo! The issue with the Left is NEVER about the issue. It is always about their wet dream of a socialist revolution.

This technique is directly out of the Rules For Radicals by Saul Alynski. It is a scheme repeated over and over again by the democRATS and radical liberals and the progressive Left.

The issue with BLM has nothing to do with equity for blacks. The issue with climate change has nothing to do with the climate or the environment. The issue with the corona virus has nothing to do with our health or well-being.

One common theme that runs through all of these scams is SYSTEM CHANGE.

BLM is a Marxist front group bent of changing the capitalist system "by any means necessary", including burning the country down. This is their overt, stated purpose and means to take over the country.

The Green New Deal is a socialist ruse bent of changing the economic capitalist system into socialism by eliminating fossil fuels and replacing them with alternative, sustainable means of energy which are unavailable and too expensive to work.

The Corona virus fraud, is a just another opportunity by the Left to control the population and manipulate people into accepting socialist and communist power. Unconstitutional lockdowns, useless mask mandates, social distancing (another name for safe spaces) and shutting down businesses, destroying jobs and the economic well-being of the population, releasing thousands of prisoners onto the streets, threatening people with fines and jail time for violations of political orders and on and on and on.

This is all out of the well-worn democRATic playbook to win votes and gain power. They could care less about black, the climate or deaths from the virus. If it destroys the opposition and gets them into power, they have achieved their goals.

Oh, please. From what I can see, the current so-called “progressive” reading list is more like this:

(1) The Communist Manifesto
(2) Das Kapital
(3) Mein Kampf
(4) The Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion
(5) “Intercourse” by Andrea Dworkin

Intercourse and Andrea Dworkin should never be in the same sentence. Needs eye bleach even without pictures...

Jesus taught us “You shall love the Lord with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.”

“you shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

Matthew 22:37-39

“Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you. so that you may be sons of the Father who is in Heaven; for he makes the sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.” Matthew 5:44

Forget books, use your eyes and whatever works between
your ears to identify reality. Then go from there.
