Honest question. Has it crossed anyone’s minds - even for a millisecond -the thought of why in the world someone with cancer would be shopping at Pier 1 in the midst of a pandemic in likely the most infected U.S. state when she is easily in the highest risk category?

Really. When my friend had cancer and was going through treatment she was so vulnerable that she went NOWHERE. The immune system is nonexistent. Still, it didn’t save her. :(

If you want anything from Pier 1, you better buy it now. The chain is liquidating all of its stores.

Because of depression. Having a serious illness causes depression. Being locked down also causes depression. Getting out and shopping is a great stress reliever.
And in a polite society, she shouldn't have to worry about being coughed on.
