Dreams. OK, a couple days ago I had one, I wrote down as much as I could remember as soon as I woke up. I almost NEVER do that:
I was shucking corn for a commune, mosque or church or something with that vague look and feel.
We’d peel the husks and toss the ears into a pit in the center of the parking lot between three big brick buildings and the alley access.
I grabbed the next one and as I pealed the husk back the corn inside was totally black as if it had been filled with soot.
They said just throw it in the pit with the rest of the shucked corn.
I knew it was evil, a fungus to destroy all of our food. managed to get it into a Ziplock bag and get gloves to mostly cover the soot on my hands.
The rest was a nightmare of trying to get into a cleanroom to put my hands in an ultrasonic bath, I couldn’t touch anything even with my gloved hands (there was black dust even on the outsides of them) had to back into unlatched doors to open them, elbow the handles on others and wait for help on some.
Couldn’t unglove the usual way, inverting them to keep the contamination sealed, because the insides and my hands were caked with the spores.
Anyway I did my best to avoid spreading the contamination and did get my hands into the cleaner bath.
Woke up at this point.
I don’t think it was enough to save the crops.
What happens when there isn’t a single ear of edible corn in the mid-west is an exercise left to the reader.
A quart of grain for an entire day’s wages...
[ mosque ]
Hopefully not a mosque. :)
Although I have had Muslim friends, they reject that Christ is the Son of God and the Messiah (by their own book, multiple times).
This is the most fundamental(cough) required tenet to be a believing Christian.
As some of us have wondered, what if the C-19 scare is protecting us from something even worse?
Yes, some sort of famine will be part of the 4 Horsemen.
The Antichrist will be the first horseman. The other three will follow. (Revelation 6).
Hang in there!
A days wage for a loaf of bread (a measure of wheat, a measure of barley). At least that’s how I read it.
