Looking for recommendations from the knowledgeable folks on this board on what would be a good AR-15 to purchase and where would be a good place to purchase it. (Asking for a friend.) Thanks in advance.
LOL!
Bet her pistol was unloaded!
LOL...Ya think? LOL
Looks like she is holding up a glass of Rose, about to make a toast.
Well, if their show of superior fire power worked. So be it.
I suggest she get a Crimson Trace for that pistol. That’s pretty intimidating too.
I hope folks don’t think *I’m* going to protect them.....long ago, I decided that I would never protect a neighbor, who didn’t already have personal protection themselves, already.
Most of us have our ammo and firearms.....so those late to the game, better get some range time. Because folks, it’s a -comin’.
Fortunately where I am living now, there is almost zero chance of any ner-do-wells showing up. Our only threat are black bears.
I heard that. My local gun shop is sold out of AR15's and that's quite unusual.
My son and I each bought a low end ATI Omni Hybrid AR-15 a couple of years back. I think we may have paid around $500 a piece. Maybe a little less.
Anyhow, they are currently $1,200 and up at Gunbroker for used. Unbelievable.
I doubt you'll find any deals now.
I had one of those. I dropped it onto asphalt from about waist height, and I had to send it back to the factory for repairs.
Have you looked at the Sig Saur P238?
Asshole, huh? Is that the best you can do?
So are you French?
Go shorter than that and you'll need a federal tax stamp from ATF.
I can certainly attest to that.
5.56 is loaded to higher pressure. You can shoot .223 out of a 5.56 gun, but NOT the other way around.
I think these "pistols" are ridiculous and impractical, but apparently legal. Hey, whatever floats one's boat.
“So are you French?”
No, pushing 70. Neuropathy in the hands.
“Surrender is not in our creed.” (Gunny Highway)
“long ago, I decided that I would never protect a neighbor, who didnt already have personal protection themselves, already.”
You sure you’re never going to need extra trigger-pullers to defend your domicile?
Is one of those a .300 Hammer?
Oddly .308 Winchester and nato .308 are the other way around.
The civie stuff was higher pressure
shot an ak based draco “pistol” ridiculous...
What a urine poor way to hold that AR. I have a Magpul sling on mine, so it hangs down in front of me. I can pull it up really fast, if needed. Avoids that brandishing issue that this couplie will have to deal with. But, that’s the difference between those with no training and those with a military background.
Ruger AR-556. Relatively inexpensive, and parts will always be easy to find.
I dont know if any posters have even been in a gunshop in the past week or two- let me enlighten you——ALL SHELVES are EMPTY! Walmart, Sports Academy,... I went to 5 shops here in Georgia, all inventory empty,,,talked to two owners, notice from their ammo distributors said two things 1) expect severe disruptions in deliveries till at least Jan 1 . 2) Effective July 1st, ammo cost will be 25 percent higher. The Sports Academy Firearms manager says this is the worst shortages he has ever seen, “ hundreds time worse than the Obama scare.”
Roger makes good guns but their crap is all proprietary, $70 magazines, grab any other ar and grab cheap ubiquitous mag.
