I remember in the late 80s Biden’s buddy Howard Metzenbaum got a bill passed where defined benefit plans (pension) vesting rights were reduced from 10 years to 5 years. I worked in a plant with 20,000 strong at the time and predicted the ramifications. My prediction happened in short order. This is where the destruction of industry in this country began and defined benefit plans no longer became the norm. Nancy Pelosi was talking pension reform recently. Are the 401ks going to be the new target after capturing the election. Working to destroy the middle class has been their goal for decades.
