Stripping is speech? Who knew!
It is no more complicated than that.
Many years ago, when I drove cab in a mid-sized city in the upper midwest, one of my regular customers was an attractive black gal who lived in a seedy motel on one side of two and worked at two go-go bars closer to downtown. Sweet lady. She would ask for me personally if I was available. She explained these facts of life and how good the money was in her business.
On my final ride, I explained that I was quitting cab driving to go in the ministry. After paying the normal fare and tip, she leaned over, gave me a kiss (on the forehead), said "I'm proud of you" and slipped me an additional $20. That was a LOT of money for that town in 1979.
The ladies pull the $1 bills out of their garters, and go spend them at Walmart. That makes the Walmart stockholders richer.
Welp, now we know where that haul that Joe and Barry took in the other night came from.
Good gracious! Those girls need to earn a living like the rest of us.
Since most dancers are independent contractors, this is paychecks for the bartenders and bouncers, not the ladies.
Actually, are the workers at strip clubs not citizens? Seems to me that the workers have legal, legitimate full time jobs. Do we expect them to pay taxes? Do they pay into Social Security?
Looks to me like they should get the same stimulus checks every other taxpayer gets.
