I have given up on Parler. It’s a very cumbersome interface. It blocks password saving by FireFox so that I have to generate a reset password every time. Not only is there a capture to authenticate they insist on sending a # by SMS, every time.
I don’t use a SMS capable phone so I need to send to a friend & have them call me.
Once I get in, even though I am following 20+ people, all I see is the last 20 things Loomer posted. I followed people on Parlor that are prolific on twitter like Bongino and nothing comes up in the feed. I’d have to look up the people I follow, 1 x 1.
DOJ should just lower the boom on twitter and take away their immunity if the put a hand on the scale. If not Parlor is not a decent alternative.
Waste of time.
Yes, it’s a pain, but I’m going to stick it out.
Maybe they’ll come up with a solution to the cumbersome logging in process.
I never Tweeted, have completely abandoned FaceBook, so Parler is my only vice (in that category, anyway).
“[Parler] blocks password saving by FireFox so that I have to generate a reset password every time”
I signed up to Parler a couple of days ago. I saw that behavior and thought I had done something wrong in the signup.
You and other posters have been enlightening on the downsides of Parler. Thanks.
I signed up to Parler as a show of support for Trump. I don’t regret that but I might not use it. I’ll check it out a few times more.
All of the above, especially the last paragraph. And until the news sites start putting a little “P” symbol, or something like the “F” or Bird symbol to make it easy to comment on the article, IMO, it’s not going to go anywhere.
Why do you have to reset your password? Can’t you remember it?
