Board of Trustees’ decision on removing Woodrow Wilson’s name from public policy school and residential college- princeton

Student protests at Princeton in November 2015 called attention to Wilson’s racism, and we responded by forming an ad hoc committee, chaired by Brent Henry ’69, to study Wilson’s legacy at Princeton. The committee recommended valuable reforms to increase Princeton’s inclusivity and recount the University’s history more completely, but it left the names of the School and College intact. Student and alumni interest in those names has persisted, and we revisited them this month as the American nation struggled profoundly with the terrible injustice of racism.

Should have added this:
6-27-2020

The Princeton University Board of Trustees voted today to remove Woodrow Wilson’s name from the University’s School of Public and International Affairs, which will now be known as the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs. We have taken this extraordinary step because we believe that Wilson’s racist thinking and policies make him an inappropriate namesake for a school whose scholars, students, and alumni must be firmly committed to combatting the scourge of racism in all its forms.

I’m starting to believe that whomever is behind all this wants CWII.

“valuable reforms to increase Princeton’s inclusivity“

Why would increased inclusivity be good for a place whose entire value is based on exclusivity?

Wilson was a disaster, he set race relations back decades.

America is mostly binary in nature.
Africa is a fractured tribal shithole.
So in a way, we are easier to put at one another’s throats.

I believe that Princeton should be stuck with Woodrow Wilson’s legacy since they embraced him for so many decades.

Now all the Republicans can pat themselves on the back that the EVIL racist Democrat got his name removed while the country is still in chaos.

For what it’s worth, I’d let Princeton keep his stupid name if it meant every demolished monument since 2013 got restored.

Why would increased inclusivity be good for a place whose entire value is based on exclusivity?

Because they have gone the way of Harvard. Harvard is a business whose product is credentials. Therefore their highest priority is protecting their brand name and profiting from it. Education or demonstrated learning has little to do with it. You become an important person because they give you a credential. This leads to corporate leadership, judgeships, governorships and senators, sometimes even presidency. All that is asked for in return is fat payments and rewards from the government and private sector.

Inclusiveness helps their exclusiveness.

The only losers are the public defrauded by credentialed idiots.

For instance there is social pressure to increase the representation of the Amish in federal judgships. So you quietly tilt the admissions process to admit a certain percentage of Amish. Sure you want the best Amish you can find, but the first requirement is that they are Amish. And you attract them with very remunerative scholarships to attend. Now, they might not actually be that interested in the law, but that is no particular issue. Having admitted them you will now graduate them and they will go to a clerkship for a federal appellate judge who has serveral clerks and knows the game and probably graduated from the same school. From their the individual will bet a position in community legal services where their lack of deep understanding of the law is never tested.

And when a federal judgeship opens up what better candidate that an attorney who graduated from a tier 1 lawschool and has been doing socially aware legal practice for 10 years oh and just happens to be Amish. With credential like that confirmation is assured and now your exclusive school has another well-connected person on the bench.

And that, folks is how they do it.

Joke: What do you call someone who graduates from law school with a "c"? ANS. Your honour.

They should have removed his name long ago for the economic, political and social damage he inflicted upon America.

A disastrous presidency.

It doesn’t get much more privileged than a Prince, or son of a king. Prince Town (Princeton) is therefore a symbol of the privileged class, and should bow to BLM.
