“Most dangerous” refers to crime per capita.
Otherwise Japan (950 murders in 2019) would be considered almost as dangerous as Jamaica (987 murders in 2019) despite the fact that Japan has 125 million people and Jamaica has only 3 million.
So the first chart is irrelevant.
So the only thing the Post can hang their hat on is that the mayor of Springfield Mo is an independent and every one of the other 19 places in the top 20 are run by Democrats.

Correct. The WaPo would have done better with a top ten, or top 5, list. I don’t know what is up with Springfield, Mo.
Still, no matter how you slice it, President Trump was basically right and the WaPo is trying to mislead those people who are foolish enough to read and heed the WaPo.
