It has ALWAYS escaped me why anyone would ever want “victim status”. Bunch of damned babies and attention seekers.
If they are victims then their shortcomings and failures are someone else’s fault; it is appealing to people who know they routinely underperform their peers.
Would you rather be told you’re illiterate because you didn’t study/read or because the system is “raciss”?

Victim status amounts to secular salvation. All your sins are forgiven, because whatever you have done or failed to do is NOT YOUR FAULT. A powerful oppressor is always to blame.
This is almost never true, so it helps to be able to lie and to believe lies.
