A Michigan state House candidate blames the influence of his daughter’s liberal college for her viral social media plea for voters to cast their ballots for someone else.
“When they go off to college, quite frankly they get involved with these Marxist, socialist universities and they start getting indoctrinated with things that are completely polar opposite from where you raised them,” Republican Robert Regan, 52, told WOOD-TV in Grand Rapids.

Yeah and yet you wrote the check. Not only that, you raised her for 18 years. Get out the mirror old man.
If I were paying for the college “experience” then that wold stop immediately. Teach her some real responsibility as to if you want something work for it.
I have been posting on the Internet for YEARS telling parents to stop using their life savings to finance these propaganda factories masquerading as colleges.
You raise your kids properly and then PAY MASSIVE AMOUNTS OF YOUR HARD-EARNED MONEY to have them brainwashed by communists and anarchists in these worthless colleges.

She is an 18 year old girl. They are all nuts at that age....with maybe a few exceptions.
Ditto. Lots of kids have gone to lefty schools (even Ivy League) and are still conservative after. It’s the parents.
That said being a bad parent hasn’t stopped me from supporting someone politically.
So this guy spends a small fortune to people who destroy his family and now he wants to be entrusted to spend the public’s tax dollars.

K-12 through grad school males are 2nd rate in treatment and hands raised in class by females are greeted warmly. Is a man trying to be the head of the household and looked up to by his children? What a sexist. Toxic masculinity. Shameful.
Men are damned if they are ambitious and try to accomplish good things-—women are supposed to have affirmative action guarantees that they, not the men, get ahead.

A man’s daughter chooses to rebel against her male parent.
In the New Age book and recording Creative Visualization, Shakti Gawain says she had to omit “God” because God has a MALE reputation that causes females to not be able to relax for the sessions. The have hostility against their father and God is often called God Our Father.
This dad can easily find a support group because attacking parents is the hip thing to do these days. She’ll be back unemployed broke and wanting to go to Grad school in a year.
Cut any future funds for this ingrate and also take a look at the local school district she atended as well.
If it took him THAT LONG to figure it out, then why does he feel qualified to run for office as a Republican?
Don’t forget to re target your will buddy. You can always change it back but don’t leave a pot of money to someone who hates you, does not respect you, and worse touts your enemies beliefs.

No support group needed but he needs to play this differently for political reasons.
His response should be. “I love my daughter and I’m sad she’s taken this position. Our door is open when she wants to come home.”
That’s it and end any questions.
I have no sympathy for him if he subsidized her education there in any way.
If she paid her own way, or was on full scholarship, that’s another story.
