Hopefully homeschooling will become the norm.

I have to tell you, the other night on our local news, the reporter asked a mom if she would like home schooling rather than what we finished up with, on line teaching....
I, expecting the later question, nope: “I can’t wait for school to start...I thought home schooling would be great, not for me nor my kids, they need to be away from me for 8 hours” I about fell out of my chair...

I knew several moms like that when I was home schooling. It’s a hard job, I get it. But the more I learned about it back in the 80’s, the more I liked it.
But some moms just can’t for whatever reasons. It seems like the younger moms, 20’s/30’s? are more into “me time” than my generation. I knew I’d get more than enough me time when they left home, so I just dug my heels in and did it. (and did it well hahahahahaha).
I worry about the kids who are being subjected to abuse or left to their own devices on a daily basis. Those are the kids that are magnets to a person who may have nefarious ideas. Where my grandkids were going to school, they had homeless kids who had scholarships or grants... where are those kids now?? The elementary school down the street is open for I guess take out lunches.
I’m all for homeschooling, but the parent has to be very dedicated and present.

What’s not to like? The school feeds her brats two meals a day and provides free babysitting. Assuming she’s in her 20s, the mom doesn’t know their skulls are being filled with anti-American leftist mush because hers was too. Those who do home school are giving their kids an incredible gift and leg up on the world, but when you look at today’s young moms and dads, is it really surprising they just want the easy alternative?
