One of my small-town, sparsely-populated county relatives has a friend whose father died of a not unexpected heart attack, but the cause of death on their death certificate was listed as Covid-19. The family is very angry about this blatant misdiagnosis. When you get late middle-aged stolid citizens sputtering that the latest M.E. is "a young @#$% U of I liberal," the fun starts.

a couple days ago, a very liberal/gay friend told was lamenting that his 60 something brother just died from the covid.
I asked him if he had any other contributing conditions, and he said that his brother had been a cancer patient for several years.
I read their was a medicare premium for covid diagnosis & an even bigger premium ($33k, iirc) if a covid patient was hooked up to a vent.
